Lancaster Diocese Servers Pilgrimage to Ladyewell Shrine 2024

Saturday, 21 September 2024

The Lancaster Diocesan Pilgrimage to Ladyewell takes place on Saturday 21st September, 2024. This begins with Holy Mass at St Mary’s, Fernyhalgh at 11.00am followed by a Blessed Sacrament Procession down the lanes to Ladyewell for Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. The Principal Celebrant will be Rt Rev. Paul Swarbrick, Bishop of Lancaster.

The Bishop invites all Altar Servers – the young and not so young, male and female, from all around the Diocese to join the Diocesan Pilgrimage and bring their cassock and cotta or alb along and Guild of St. Stephen Medal and walk together in the procession. Following the procession there will be a barbecue for all servers in the grounds, prepared by Catholic Scouts from Preston.

Attending servers should meet at St. Mary’s, Fernyhalgh at 10.30am.

There is a small car park between St. Mary’s and Ladyewell but plenty of parking on the lane in the vicinity of St. Mary’s.

There will also be an opportunity to purchase items from the Guild Shop. Ideally, we would be grateful if you could order with the below contact in advance and then collect on the day.
